Welcome to Ecological Monitoring, Informatics and Dynamics(EMID) Research Group

EMID research revolves around a cross-disciplinary, quantitative approach with a strong focus on operations and management, towards the overarching goal of sustainable resource management.

The research is broadly organised into four main pillars, Informatics, Systems characterisation,Systems Understanding and Ecological Prediction. Informatics is a central theme that also enables assimilation and analyses of disparate datasets to support ecosystems research. Research activities are conducted across the major aquatic and geophysical ecosystems in Singapore.

Research themes leverage on our core capabilities, building interactively upon each other towards a logical translation to applications.

There are four main cluster as follows:

COASTAL AND MARINE CLUSTER

INLAND WATERS CLUSTER

GEO INFORMATICS CLUSTER

CLIMATE, WEATHER AND WATER RESOURCES CLUSTER
